Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) for W. Hurbert Tidwell, Route 4,
Scottsboro who died at Jackson County Hospital Tuesday at the age of 77.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. from the Word-Bolton Chapel with Rev. R.E. Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Word-Bolton Funeral.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lee Tidwell, three daughters, Mrs. Lillie Mae Cheatham of Lewisburg, Tenn., Mrs. Nora Thomas of Scottsboro; fours sons, Clarence Tidwell of Attalla, Albert Tidwell of Pisgah, Linnus Tidwell of Scottsboro and W.T. Tidwell of Gary, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Cora Shelton of Scottsboro, three brothers, Wilt Tidwell of Route 1, Scottsboro, Fred Tidwell and Frank Tidwell of Route 2 Woodville; 25 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
