Welcome to the Sports group. Here you can post sports related info, news and whats going on with your favorite teams and players. It covers everything from children's teams all the way to pro, elementary to college teams.
When posting to the Sports group, most content should be posted to the group and also made public so that a wide audience can see. Having a sports group will make it easier for those who just want to view the latest sports posts.
The Sports group has open membership, anybody can join without approval.

I haven't been posting a lot lately. Been working on a module to give out points automatically. I have a first draft that gives out points for Word of the Day so far. Working on projects like that helps me to learn more about the Drupal CMS, it's module system, api's and functions while adding functionality to the site. That will benefit me and Limrock.org in the long run.
It's a big sports Saturday. Alabama is playing #20 Ole Miss, the only team to beat the national champion Florida Gators last year. Will they upset #3 ranked and undefeated Alabama? I hope not. Should be a good game. Also, #1 Florida is playing #4 LSU tonight. Will Florida QB Tebow play after suffering a concussion a couple of weeks ago that kept him in the hospital overnight?

We root for Brett Favre, QB for Minn Vikings.
But, they are in the same division as our Bears. So, we don't want them to do so good that they win the division! :)
Braves lost a tough one tonight, 5 to 4, They were losing 4 to 1, tied it up late but the Marlins scored again and the Braves couldn't answer. Braves almost certainly had to win all their remaining games to make the playoffs so this is probably the end of their hopes unless the Rockies have a serious meltdown in the last few games.
OK, there isn't a module for fantasy leagues that I could find so I'm throwing something quick and dirty out there since it's so far into the season. For anybody that's interested in playing and that is in the sports group, you can create your team one player at a time by going to Create content, Fantasy Baseball Team Player. The players can come from different teams but you can't have multiple players playing the same position. First come first serve, no one can have the same players. Sorry but I don't have it set up yet to automatically check who has which players.
I'm thinking about starting some kind of simple fantasy baseball league where users get to choose a team of position players. You get to pick 9 players from any in the major league. One for each position. You can't pick Albert Pulholz and Ryan Howard for your team because they play the same position. First come first serve, so start thinking about your players.
I'm starting to see a trend in user accounts. Since Bruce my first member signed up with the site there's been about 15 or so women in a row joined and no men. I figure it's got to be a content issue so I'm trying to come up with more stuff that's interesting to men. So I came up with the Sports group to start things off.
