You can chat on Limrock now using irc. Just click on the Chat menu at the top of the page or go to chat. Of course it helps if you have someone to chat with. There are channels for Limrock and all the high schools in Jackson County. Click on the tab you want to chat in. Let me know if you have suggestions for other channels/tabs. Besides channels to chat in you can also chat privately with another person. Go to chat for more info | |
Email Notifications

You (logged in users) should notice in your Account a new tab called Subscriptions. You can take a look at it and check the boxes (in Settings) for where you might want to get email notifications. I haven't done a lot of testing with it yet and it might only work with new content but it's something you can try out :) UPDATE: I set some defaults so you might want to leave it as is unless there's some notifications you don't want. UPDATE: (or some more you do want). On individual pages you will notice a Subscribe link, which if you click it will show you several subscription options, which could be as simple as subscribing to that one page(which will get you email notifications to any updates or new comments on that page). |

New and improved Limrock.org |

I've been been working on some upgrades to the site and I'm pretty happy about the progress but I still have a ways to go. I'm adding some news and blog feeds to the site. I've always had them but they were never posted as 'nodes' that get put on the front page. In the past most of them were on other pages and only showed the title until you clicked on them. You really had to be looking for them on purpose. This way I think they will be more visible to people and make the site more interesting hopefully. | |

I've just now added the tag 'genealogy' to image galleries. When uploading images of people or places or things relating to people please select this tag. I'm hoping it will increase our results in Google searches when people are searching for that sort of thing. I should of done it to begin with. Thanks! |

He lived at Letcher. on the mountain above Larkinsville. He passed away in 1963. He was the Grandfather of Raymond Tidwell. One of Shermans boys was named Hugh. He is buried in the Arlington National Cementery in Washingto D.C. Raymond's Dad, Bill Tidwell, also had a brother named Vaughn Tidwell. that was his Granpas three boys, Bill or William, Hugh, and Vaughn. They used to live at Letcher in the old house that has a sawmill in front of it now. His grandpa built that house back in the early 40s. |

Been looking at the Facebook Graph API and it looks really promising. Now if I can only get motivated enough to get a good working implementation. Should be able to import feeds and other info from local businesses that have facebook pages and post them as nodes(blogs, events and such) here at Limrock.org. Don't know how much work it's gonna take yet though. |
